Wayne Smith (born in Waterhouse, Kingston, Jamaica, December 5th 1965) is a singer who will forever be associated with the tune responsible for starting the Digital music revolution in Jamaica, Sleng Teng.

Smith started recording in the early 80's, first for Jammy's with "Ain't No Me Without" and in 1982 an LP, "Youthman Skanking" was issued. After a brief period with Channel One he returned to the Jammy's camp and continued to have moderate success before Sleng Teng came out in 1985.

Wayne Smith currently runs the Sleng Teng Recording Studio in the Bronx, New York.
