The Small Axe Reggae Album Guide - Singers was the first and last book in what was supposed to be a series of books reviewing reggae albums. It was released in 1996 by Muzik Tree and Black Star. All reviews were written by Ray Hurford and were either published previously in Small Axe or exclusively in the book. The layout and design was done by Tero Kaski of Black Star.

The book features 437 reviews in alphabetical order by artist and it covers over 167 singers. The back of the book has a list of the albums in chronological order with notes in what issue of Small Axe they featured if applicable.

A book covering deejay albums was almost finished but was never released.
